A 50 kg mass is pulled a distance of 20 m (i-hat) at a constant velocity by a force of 400 N at an angle of 60 degrees. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the mass and the floor is 0.408.

    A. W = F.s = F x s x cosθ = 500 x 20 x cos60* = 5000 J

    B. By F(net) = F(applied) - F(friction)

    =>As v = constant=>a = 0 =>F(net) = 0

    =>F(applied) = F(friction)

    =>W(by applied force) = W(by friction)

    =>W(friction) = 5000 J

    C. 0

    D. 0
