can i use my own picture as a theme?

    Of course. Just make sure it's on the PS3's hard drive and select the picture in the photo menu on your XMB, then when the picture opens, hit Triangle and there should be an option to set it as a wallpaper. It'll also let you resize or crop the image to fit on your TV.

    Any photo can be used as a Wallpaper.

    If you want to use the photo in a Theme, you will have to create the Theme yourself, if there isn't an already existing Theme with the photo you have.
