can you get rabies from a tiny bite by dog?

our 7 year old dog bit my thumb (near the nail), her tooth pierced my skin and there's a bit of blood but the wound is smaller than an ant, and she was never injected so it probably has rabies. i don't think i would get infected with a small dot, but i just wanna be sure. tnx

i would say there is nothing to worry about. if a dog has rabies, you definitely notice it, especially since you had her for so long. a dog with rabies doesn't have a normal behavior, doesn't drink water, foams at the mouth, acts all crazy.

don't worry, you'll be ok. but make sure your dog doesn't continue biting, you're her master. ;)

Yes if the dog is rabid ,then yes,if the child can comes in contact with a dog with rabies. If the bite from a rapied dog and draws blood by some systems here are a few signs and symboms :fever, puss from the wound, moderate to sever symptoms and your worriedl with some of the symptiom.

take the child to the doctor. Some of the symptoms are seen in these patients and the other symbtoms the child may experience. Its better to safe than sorry. Some clean of the wound are: with poroxicide and with a dog bit if the animal don't present with symbtoms. If the dog is rapid there is a greater chance of contracting the rabies. The bad part of the condition is it will kill you without treatment. If you wish to do more serching on the internet and get a more detailed information. The dog will have strange, like foming at the mouth, bitting at the air and more odd behaviors the is a good sign the animal is infected. The infection can go to the brain and kill the person.
