What is the meaning of "sixes, sevens and nines?"?
From the Stones' "Tumbling Dice". It's one of my favorite lyrics, but I would like to know the reference. I'm assuming it's a British thing.

Well, being all "sixes and sevens" means that you're disorientated / confused. Sometimes people say sixes and nines though, so I guess this line is just mixing both together.
