Tsunami warning for entire west coast?

So they initiated a Tsunami warning for my neck of the woods. I may have to be evacuated. The absolute first thing I will grab is my dog, no question. So my question is, if something like this were to happen in your area, what are your plans for your dogs?

Its already come and gone it was going to be less then 2 feet.

The Tsunami was hitting from 8AM on the west coast

Approximately 8:30 AM Santa Monica, CA

Eariler going North up the coast

    You are fine

I have evacuated due to wild fires several times.

I have evac cages for ALL my animals

ADD: LAUGHING at the ridiculous news coverage here. They are showing the surfers in Ventura, CA who are praying for some waves and they are just sitting there on their boards as its "hitting"

    9:10 AM

ADD2- Just watched a surfer ride in on a HUGE Tsunami wave of about 24 inches!!! Meanwhile the news guy is going crazy going "I can't believe they are surfing"

I can not believe the news crew are such drama queens

We live in area where hurricanes hit pretty often. We have a high top van. All of us, dogs included fit in it. Back makes into a bed. We have used it before and call it our escape pod. Do not expect to find a shelter or motel to stay in. There are none. Main evac routes will not have gas or water available. Carry as much water, iron cooking utensils food as you can. Take tarps and tents for shelter and a generator and small AC, ice chests and a dorm size fridge These can be pulled on a small trailer or if you also have truck you can put them on back. You will be camping out. Don't forget important papers.and documents on your dogs and all medications you may need

We don't get many disasters here (i.e Tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis), the worst we had was a snow storm before i was even born and it wasn't even enough to be evacuated! But if something like that were to happen, all my animals would come with me!

They will be coming with us of course. But I don't live on a fault nor do I live near water. But I have lived through bad weather. Massive snow storms when I was younger, and a massive Tornado that if we were just a couple houses up the road we would have been hit directly.

After the tornado was gone it left massive amounts of tree branches in our yard, blew out the stain glass window of the new church, ripped up every tree but one at my old elementary school, and the trees were big, bunch of big trees down, and down power line. We were out of power for weeks. This was years ago though.

If I had to evacuate quickly I would turn my animals loose. They are reasonably self sufficient animals and could fend for themselves until I returned. I live in the country and there would not be room for my family and my animals in the same vehicle.

honestly my boyfriend and i are ready for the apocolypse, but i would indeed grab my dog,

naturally a dogs bond to you will grow stronger in an intesne situation, your looking to your dog for protection, and your dog is looking to you for protection and direction.

also in the months that we are in, its chilly in the night and the morning throw your dog in your sleeping bag he'll keep you alive, the normal temp is 103.3-103.6 degrees all day every day. youll never freeze to death with your lil homie.

dogs are amazing, im sorry you might get evacuated. thats scarry, i wish you and your dog the best of luck and saftey.

i have an earthquake kit that is a backpack which contains water, people and dog food, tarp, rope, radio, and much more, enough for three days ... the dog has a life jacket in case of tsunami (cuz i am flipping close to the water, if i see that water recede i am starting to run), and i have bungee cords to attach her to my waist ...

I would save my family first (dog included being family) and get to higher ground.
