What do you think is the best graphic format?

Also include why and what program(s) use them.

    GIF is best for animation

    PNG is best for web graphic (simple colorc combination such as logo/button)

    JPEG/JPG is best for rich graphic such as pictures/wallpaper

    For images, JPG is my preferred format.

    I use either Photoshop or Gimp.

    .mp4 for mobile and .flv for pc
