It is true that Japan is a wealthy nation, but their resilience, independent self-reliance and ingenuity are more than just a part of their history and have brought them back from the brink of disaster before.

They still have the Bushido spirit and our prayers and help.

Sure japan will recover faster than haiti. Money is one reason the other is japan has a strong culture of endurance.

Haiti is poor and its culture is fragmented into the rich and the very poor.

The answer above covers my other point Haiti was in terrible shape before the disaster.

Yes, because Japan is a rich country and Haiti is a poor country. Furthermore, Japan gets earthquakes, tsunamis and weird weather on a regular basis.

I think they will. They have more resources and they are more industrialized than Haiti. I also think they have a better government than the Haitians and a better work ethic. Money sent to help them will be better spent. Look how quickly and well they recovered from the second world war. That should give you some idea of what this remarkable people are capable of doing.

Yes that's a given, but you can not fault Haiti for its slow recovery as they have little natural resources or GDP to export and trade and need the help.

If Japan had a hundred such disasters all in one day they would still be ahead of Haiti.

    Oh yeah, definitely.

Haiti wasn't in great shape to begin with but no one seems to remember those days (before media frenzy).

Of course they will. Japanese people are hard working and have values that american people doesn't. have. American trash would sit around and want the Government to support their sorry *** while they smoke their dope and drink their beer. As with hurricane katrina, american filth was to busy stealing and killing each other. It's coming again.
