Good hotels in Thessaloniki, Greece?
Know any? I have ot go there for two days and need somewhere smart, chic, cheap and cheerful. Please help.

I don't know what that other guy is talking about - buckets for toilets? Yeah, ok, sure. Equally plausible is finding a hotel in Thessaloniki for €30 a night - not gonna happen. You will pay €70 as a bare minimum.
I haven't been there in a while, so I can't recall specific hotels. But anything around Aristotelous Square (A, in the link below), is probably going to fulfill the "chic" factor you want. But it's not always easy coupling chic with cheap. Look at that link (or search for "thessaloniki hotels" in Google Maps) and then cross-reference the hotels you find with Trip Advisor. That site will give you photos and reviews of each hotel.

I always use the El Greco Hotel at the west side of Egnatia Odos, towards the Train station. Reasonably priced and excellent service. If it is during fairs period, hard to find rooms.
