Am i going to lose my job?

ok so i just got a email today from work saying everyone at my site must go get a drug test by the 18th at the branch office.

i recently about 3-4 months ago started smoking the leafy greens again. its not like everyday or even every week. its once every week sometimes i skip a week or so. and when i do smoke its really not a lot, like 2-3 hits and im done. and ive been doing it like that for the past 3-4 months. nothing big.

but now im freaking out cause im worried about this...in 3 days i have to take a test..am i going to lose my job?? like i have not been coming into work messed up or anything ive been a good employee. so this is really blind siding.

the last time i smoked was exactly 1 week ago. on tuesday. do i need to be worried?

btw now right at this moment drinking like 8 gallons of water(well as much as i can)

The problem with those leafy greens is that they can stay in your system for weeks/months.

As a general rule, most employers do not drug test employees after they hire them, but it appears there is problems at work, either by you or other employees that they suspect could be the result of employees using drugs, thus everyone getting tested. Have there been injuries or accidents at work? If so, they could suspect drugs being the cause.

No one here on Y/A will know if you fail, if you will be fired or reprimanded.

But if you do indeed lose your job, remember that 90% of all employers out there drug test any employee they want to hire and if you continue to smoke that leafy green, may prevent you from finding another job in the future.

good luck on the test and stop smoking.
