Good Exercises for Beginner Volleyball Players?
My friends and I want to practice before trying out in the fall for the High School volleyball team. We are going to be freshmen so I think getting in might be really difficult. We always play freeplay outside with no net or whatever; but now we really want to get into serious training. Do you have any tips or good exercises to strengthen or prepare us for it? Thanks.

Practice Practice Practice. Good Volleyball Skills comes with experience. Look for correction and improve on them. Keep playing with your friends. the more you get the feel for the ball the more comfortable you will be! Here is a tip that helps. Talking.Get used to talking on the court. When you talk there will be less collisions on the court and it will help your teamates know you are there. Its a good habit. Another is no ball hits the ground without a attempt to get it. Go for every ball. You never know if you could have gotton it or not. At least make a good attempt. Good Luck!!

If you're a basketball playerand you need your game to become more entirely then you definitely need certainly to jump larger, really jump higher with 9 to 15 inches with the aid of this system https://tr.im/G4ID2 , the Vert Shock program.
There are many basketball participants available who share the same purpose and would want to increase their straight jump enough to ultimately manage to dunk and you can certainly do that in just 8 week with the Vert Shock program.
The exercises don't involve any large weightlifting and all of the instruction consists of bodyweight workouts, gets, and sprints, occasionally you will use a basketball and all of your progress will soon be for sale in the work-out blankets that you could take out with you on your own cellular or pill, or you are able to only get the PDF's and printing them out on paper.
With Vert Shock the dunk just look easy.

I like this website if you are looking at conditioning and training as a volleyball player: http://www.volleyball-training-ground.com/volleyba...
You can find information on conditioning, strength training, and workouts for volleyball players. There is also information on increasing your vertical jump.
Hope that helps!

you use your abs a ton in volleyball! the stronger your abs are the stronger your hit and serve will be! same with your thighs/ quads (do squats and lunges for these), you use them a ton in passing. if you want to improve your vertical work alot on your calfs (calf raisers work really well)! volleyball players should be pretty well rounded when it comes to strength so be sure to work on all your muscles like your biceps and triceps, ankles and butt (trust me, you will be using this muscle more then you think)! good luck (:

The school will probably start 'open gyms' for you to get the feel for what they are looking for. But lunges help a ton! Most everything is leg strength. You use leg muscles for running for a ball, getting low on defense, jumping to hit, jumping to block, jump serving, even setting!

Our coach makes us sprint up and down a steep hill, do planks, run 2 miles a day, and jump onto a really high spot and jump back down 10 times.
