    Chicken-pita sandwich.

Slice a roasted skinless chicken breast (one half of a whole breast) (142 calories).

Fill half a piece of pita bread, opened up to form a pocket (calories = read the package) with:

    - Chicken

    - Sliced lettuce

    - 2 Tablespoons low-fat/non-fat Ranch salad dressing (again, read the package for calories).

Should come in at about 250-300 calories.

    Also ...

    Instant apple-cinnamon oatmeal

    1/3 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt

1/3 cup sliced strawberries (or 1/3 cup other berriees)

    Also under 300 calories.

Make some nice spagetti Chop up veggies (like red/green peppers, onion, garlic, or whatever else you like) and fry it up in a pan with some vegtable oil. Add some spices if you like - pepper or something a little spicey, some garlic/onion powder if you don't have fresh stuff in it. Keep cooking until all the veggies are pretty soft Fry up some ground beef. When it's browned, and your veggies are soft, put everything into a pot with some spagetti sauce (at this point, it doesn't matter which sauce, simple or something like herbs and garlic spagetti, whichever) Get out another pot, and get the noodles going. For me, one package of ground beef, the veggies and noodles, it costs less then 20$ and feeds 3 or 4 people. Just don't BURN the meat or veggies. ORRRR Perogies and salad - do up the perogies nice though, boil them in water until they've been floating for about 3 - 5 minutes, throw them in a pan with some butter, or oil, throw on some spices (again, I love garlic and onion powder and some pepper or red pepper melody(which is a bit spicey)) fry them until just a little browned and then toss them on a plate with some garden salad, maybe even add a nice bit of BBQ chicken slathered in bbq sauce.

That's a snack, not a meal. Lettuce, raw veggies, non-fat yogurt and water would add up to more calories than that.
