Songs about (literal, not metaphorical) darkness/lack of light?

My apartment has high loft ceilings, and alas, my 6' tall dad had to come put in a lightbulb in my living room because both I (at 4'10") and my 5'4"ish male landlord were too short to reach the lights. He saved the midget jokes about both of us for when the landlord was not around, thankfully!

Now that I have light once more that is not coming from the dining room table's fiberglass bubble lamp or the huge (8' x 4') 7-Up sign from the '60s that hangs on my living room wall, what song would you recommend for my prior situation?

Vicki Lawrence's The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia:

Bruce Springsteen's Darkness on the Edge of Town:

The Strokes' Under Cover of Darkness:

(which is not technically about darkness, but it's fun; what the heck)

(Yes, my apartment looks like Pop Art/Danish Mod installation. I love those styles, though.)

Update 2:

o captain my captain: My dad was on said strut-based climbing appliance (apartment-sized) and still could barely reach the light. When I say high ceilings, I mean them. ;)

Update 3:

@ captain: Of ladders or of fathers? (Be careful you don't call my dad fat!) ;)
