7 month old late development?

My daughter just turned 7 months old yesterday. She is sitting up but it only lasts about a minute and then she falls over. Shouldn't she be sitting up for longer than that now? Everything else she is getting there pretty early but I am worried that she should be sitting up better than she is...she just goes forward and tries to eat her feet.. is she late in this milestone? Any tips you can give me to help her learn to sit up better?

She's fine. Baby's learn to sit alone around 6-9 months. If she's attempting to sit up she's just learning and getting there. If she was past 9 months then i'd worry.

Make sure that she is getting enough tummy time. This helps strengthen their core as well as gain head control. Maybe she is falling forward because the muscles in these areas are weak.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just spend lots of time trying to work on this.

Good luck with your baby. They are so much fun!
