Russian from native speakers please?

Write a question for the selected word ( the selected word is ПРЕПОДАВАТЕЛЯ)

"ПРЕПОДАВАТЕЛЯ нет, он уже болеет две недели"

I need the answer written in Russian (Russian alphabet) and it should start with "WHO..?" (KTO..?)

    "Кто отсутствует?" or "Кого нет?"

In my mind, 2-nd variant is more correctly.

You have strange question, because for this sentence question with word "who" sounds not 100% correct in Russian. I mean there is no clear logic between answer you gave and question which starts with "who".

But try this: Кто будет вести занятие сегодня? (Who will teach today?)

Or: Кто знает, где ваш преподаватель? (Who knows, where is your teacher? - means who can give an answer).

Really, something wrong with this this statement. Usually in Russian this phrase would be used to clarify any other question. For example:

Why are not you at school? Because...

    Where is your teacher? ....

But together "преподавателя" and "кто" are not good example...
