Do you have chocolate easter eggs in America?

Have chocolate eggs in the USA? You can't escape them! We have chocolate eggs by Dove, Reese's, Cadbury, and loads of other companies.

I don't know if people hide chocolate eggs as they sometimes do colored chicken eggs or plastic eggs. Chocolate eggs might melt in the heat if it's a warm day. I suppose most people would put chocolate eggs directly into their Easter baskets.

Yes you can certainly buy chocolate Easter eggs. My favorite are Cadebury eggs.. yum! The tradition in the US is to paint and hide hard boiled eggs. However, many people hide Easter baskets or little plastic eggs full of candy. My grandma used to put quarters inside the plastic Easter eggs.

Yes we do have them. I have to add for Resurrection Celebration we don't hide the chocolate eggs. I life on the west coast of the U.S. and it is very warm usually where I live. The chocolate eggs will melt and be very disgusting by time the kids get to them.

So, we usually do hard boiled painted/decorated eggs. We also do plastic eggs filled with treats. Jelly beans, peeps, malt-balls, whatever.

We usually also teach the lesson on Resurrection by hiding a few special golden plastic eggs that have crosses in them or other symbolic keepsakes in them. The kids love it! They will knock each other over just to get those golden eggs.

American Easter Eggs

Many times we hide plastic eggs with treats inside like jellybeans or chocolates. I haven't been to an Easter event where they hid chocolate eggs.

The chocolate eggs are usually wrapped in foil...and are in many an easter basket...along with chocolate chickens, rabbits, and sadly enough...crosses. I'm just glad someone hasn't made a chocolate Jesus.
