Why does my dog pee on the bed?

My dog just peed on my bed again. I don't know why I took him out not even a hour ago and he went pee. He is only a little over 4 months old so I don't think he is old enough to spray. Anyone know?

Puppies pee on your bed or clothing from insecurity. In the wild, the scent of urine attracts predators. He is afraid to pee outside, as the boogieman(unknown predator) can find him by his scent! So, he pees where your scent is strongest, on a bed, clothing or where you sit on the couch. That way, his scent is covered by his master's, and he is suddenly safer.

The best way to combat this, and instill a sense of security and well-being, is to take him for long walks on a leash, and to teach him new things, giving him plenty of praise. Set aside 10 minutes twice daily to teach him easy things..such as give a paw, or high-5, or the basic obedience.

Pups can become suddenly afraid for any or no reason. It may be caused by a bad dream, or a new dog barking outside, or an argument among his humans.

    Puppies are unpredictable.

I'd wait 'til your friend gets a bit older for him to be able to sleep on your bed.

Keep your dog out of your bedroom. Teach your dog where to go potty. You might not want a dog adapted to habit like that.

he pees on your bed because it smells like a toilet. try bathing more regularily and see if the behavior stops.
