If the fa cup winner already has a champions league spot then the europa spot goes to the runners up?

So effectively means liverpools must finish 5th but yahoo says in their article of liverpool crashing out of europa that they must either get 5th or must wait to see who wins the fa cup but since man city or man u are going to be in the final and stoke or bolton are going to be in the final even if man u wins it the spot should go to stoke or bolton for coming runners up. meaning liverpool needs to finish 5th to get a europa spot. Am I correct or is yahoo correct

This season 5th is the only way of getting in the Europa League. Unless you finish 4th and the team that finishes 5th wins the Champions League, then the fourth placed team would get it.

Yahoo is correct though its unlikely 6th place will get a team into Europe.

FA Cup losers get a Europa League spot only if beaten by a team that has qualified for the Champions League. It used to be any Europe qualifying team but has changed recently.

Man City finish 5th and win FA Cup = PL 6th place gets Europa league spot.
