To say otherwise would be a sin for me and I will say that God commands both good and so called evil there are the two polarities of God good and bad. otherwise there would be the need for two Gods for each polarity. so that which you call evil is nothing more than your own personal self whereas that which is called good is the greater Self the Soul. As yet very few are soul inspired but will be one fine day until then we have chaos on earth. There as however a divine process under way to " seal the door where evil dwells". This means that no more evil can come in from outside the earth(cosmic evil) and we then are dealing with that which is within the ring pass not of earth.

It WILL be all destroyed. People have to be tested to see whether they REALLY want to trust in the Lord or not. That's why, or part of the reason why the evil is still here. The spiritual warfare keeps going on until "everything is under the feet of Jesus".

There are different explanations. Some argue he didn't create evil, that evil arises in the absence of God. And that to destroy evil is to take away free will, which would make our existence meaningless.

He will but He does not want to destroy man's free will along with it.
When everyone is fully convinced about God's fairness, He will destroy not only evil but those who practice evil too.

He's using it to carry out his purposes.
Evil will be destroyed...1 Corinthians 15:24-28 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Because some of the currently "evil" people are about to change and accept Jesus as their savior. If he destroyed all evil now he would destroy those who would have been saved with it.

He will. For reasons fully known only to Himself the destruction of evil will happen at some point in the future.

He plans to, but He wants to bring as many as possible to salvation first. Once He destroys evil, all of the people with sin in their lives will be cast into Hell, thus He wants to give them time to repent and accept Jesus' sacrifice for our sins.
