Downloading YouTube videos into the PS3, legal or illegal?
Ever heard of the site ps3youtube.com? That's where I watch most youtube videos and somehow, started downloading it and store them into the PS3 HDD. Problem is, is it okay to do so? I'm afraid that Sony might ban me or something due to copyright. I feel really guilty because I was downloading videos just like that. Free of charge.

It's not illegal to download videos off of YouTube. Even if you did download videos "illegally" you won't get your system banned or any of that. The only activity on your PS3 that Sony actually monitors is to see if you hacked your PS3 in any way to cheat in online video games or run pirated/downloaded backups of games and still have access to the PlayStation Network without a system update. That's the only time you could get your PS3 banned. And I think all you need to do is put your PS3 into recovery mode and download a genuine Sony system update to get your PS3 up and running again.
As for downloading videos off of YouTube for free, it's not illegal at all. People do it every day and all the videos are free for distribution. The only time when things may get illegal is if you download YouTube videos and sell them to make profit. That would be unfair to the content owners, especially if they weren't making profit off of their work.
P.S. Youtube XL has crappy quality. The video isn't very clear and neither is the audio.
