What happens if you dream this?

It's a myth. Don't shortchange the subconscious. It can portray just about anything. If it can portray horses on fire with rainbow candy coming out their ears, or whatever you've dreamed, a little hitting the ground isn't that hard.

It tends not to, but it isn't a fact that you never hit the ground. I have.

The dream represents a deep fear, and hitting the ground means actualization of that deep fear. Think of it this way: the fall might represent the fear of your loved one dying. Hitting the ground would mean they are dead. That's no good for several reasons. First, it gives the story nowhere to go - the anticipation of death is the scary part, not the actuality. Second, it's so scary that you prefer not to dream it. Doesn't mean you can't.

The thought that if you hit the ground in your dream you die is romantic, but nonsensical. Proof? Try this: imagine the Earth exploding. I'll wait. OK, did it actually happen? Right. Your imagination and your dream life aren't that different.

Sorry to disappoint.

The thing is, that if you actually had the dream and hit the ground and died...You wont be on YA telling people its real and it can happen.

I say its bullcrap, you don't really die in your dream for one good reason: you control your dream, you make up what happens. In dreams, you can make yourself have skin of steel, or change into anything, plus who dies in their dreams, its just not right. don't believe everything you hear, i thought if you fly in a dream, i fly in real life, and i proved that wrong (don't get me started on how i proved that wrong, so don't ask yourself this).
