With all those technological advances why we still working 8 hrs shift ?
we have roads, ports, nuclear energy, physics of plasma, nano thecnology,cell comunications ,internet, etc etc,how come we still working 8 hrs and some times 12 when we should be working only 4 by now? who or what is sucking the value?

Wow, your view of labor is very interesting.
The reason is that value is constantly shifting. Some are able to keep ahead of devaluing by only working 8 hours and other have to work more.
Even with technology, value is constantly trying to push us backwards. Even those that are able to work only 4 hrs/day some times can only do so for a limited time. Especially when someone is rich, 4 hrs seems to little to be able to keep up with the value of all of your funds and investments.
