I had a great time once I had an account 5 years in the past on a server working solar Solaris. It basically worked. i've got because got here upon that OpenSolaris is greater of a soreness than its nicely worth. i've got been fidgeting with Gentoo because my Niece's husband gave me an previous laptop with it loaded on. it is so previous i've got greater or much less retired it, I put in it final summer season right into a clean laptop, then it broke, (happens) and that i ultimately reinstalled it as a twin boot with Slackware (my first actual Linux, it happens) and that i'm falling in love with Slackware back (although i actually rather like Gentoo lots. i will boot on the two the two). i've got basically reinstalled Synfig (which I hate) and that i'm installation Blender specially so i will play with the slackbuild documents and watch the courses being outfitted from scratch. Least in demand? Any domicile windows before XP, because of the fact they crashed lots, or Vista, which i can not even tell whilst it crashes because of the fact it is so slo-ow.

XP has by far the best selection of 3rd party applications, but the malware over the Internet has dampened my enthusiasm to the point where I just can't trust it any more so I have Linux for all those tasks...and it's proving to be quite flexible and stable.
