After Kobe retires who will take over the West? OKC?
Derick Fisher and Kobe are getting old, Fisher has maybe 1 more year left. Kobe still has 2 or 3.
Tim Duncan has about 3 years left
So after those 3 players retire i think the Grizzles and the Thunder will take over the West
It sounds Bizarre but look the Thunder have a good Center in KP, Great Guards, Westbrook,Harden, and Sefiloisha, an up in coming PF in Ibaka and a Great coach with Great fans.
I dont fallow the Grizzles but they have a great core in Randolph,Gay and Mayo with Conley running the point so i think in 3-5 years The Thunder and Grizzlies will take over the West

The Lakers always replace stars with stars! So when Kobe leaves someone else will step in!Just look into the history of the Lakers and you will understand! The Lakers will always have a team that will compete for the west title!
Source(s): With the new 20 year 3 billion dollar TV deal the Lakers signed with Time Warner,They will stay on top............. Plz what players want to play in OKC or that criminal ridden City Memphis!lmao - 1 decade ago
Thunder
Grizzlies
Blazers
Wolves
These four teams have a nice core of young players. They're really talented and only need more jelling up and experience to see them through.
However, OKC has the brightest future of them all. KD, Westbrook, Perk, Serge, Harden, Maynor and Sef. Really nice team right there.
Grizz. has Gay, Conley, Allen, Mayo, Gasol. Battier and Z-bo are old. That being said, this is still a talented team, but still not enough to win the West in future.
A lot remains to be seen for the Blazers. If Brandon Roy can return from surgery, and Oden finally have a lasting contribution on this team, in addition to the development of LaMarcus and surrounding players (G.Wallace, Fernandez, W. Matthews, Camby), this team's gonna be dangerous.
Wolves...A beast in K.Love, a future stud in Wes Johnson (I like this player a lot), a huge potential in B-Easy, an improved Darko, and Luke Ridnour. Talented young team too, just not as talented as those three teams mentioned above.
The NBA in future will be the Bulls-Thunder era.

you recognize what, I supply up observing that fool Skp because of the fact he's getting popularity on Bashing Lebron so i did not understand what he reported, did he say surpass kobe and Jordan while it got here to championships? or mvps ? I do think of he will surpass kobe in league mvps because of the fact i think of he will win it in the subsequent 2 years and he's youthful adequate to win a minimum of two yet I do think of he might have a case for triumphing a championship that would surpass kobe or Jordan in the event that they win it this 365 days and that i might assume they may well be want next 365 days etc etc etc/ So I do think of if the Thunder win it this 365 days and with their age then i would not be marvel in the event that they win some championship

OKC for sure. Portland have their health issues, Memphis is a team on the rise but their bench is still a question mark. Clippers has yet to find consistency (which I doubt they will have with Vinny at the helm), San Antonio and Dallas will get even older. Golden State is an intriguing team of the future though.
Hope this helps.

Kobe will still be playing 10 years from now. He's still pretty young - remember, he came into the league right from high school.

Blake Griffin
Kevin Durant
Andrew Bynum (if he can stay healthy)
Chris Paul???
Maybe a player who hasn't entered the league yet.
