You have to download it to your local drive, and embed it to your PPT.

Or you can just add the Hyperlink to your PPT, but in this way it might not work when play the PPT on another computer.

Select the object you want eg text or picture
Click the "slide show" drop down menu at the top
Click "custom animation" then choose what animation you want. You get about 10 most commonly used effects but if you click a button (probably "other" or "more") you will get more effects.
