Problem erasing network security key in Windows 7?

I have a belkin router. when I decided to put a new password in and a new ssid, it generated something else than the password I made...for some reason whenever I would come home it would not connect because it used this wrong password...I constantly had to type this other password.

I erased the connection...no go.

I decided to reset the router back to its original name and password.

Its still putting in that stupid saved password...

in properties i have checked all 3 connect when in range, connect when...etc.

where is this damn password saved in the system so I can delete it?

In windows 7, just open the Network and Sharing Center (either from the control panel or from the "network icon" in the lower right corner) On the left side menu of the Network and Sharing Center you will see a listing that says, "Manage Wireless Networks" CLICK IT!

You should just delete ALL of the entries at this point... (just highlight the name, then click the "remove" button at the top line.... you can then select and add back the ONE entry that you use.

Lower right hand corner of the screen, next to the clock, click the wireless network icon. Choose your network, press connect.

Typically, you put in a word that "generates" a key.

That key is what you use to connect.
