Help me with my book please!?
I need to come up with some clothing ideas for characters in my book. That characters wear clothing mostly like the ones from Avatar ; the Last Airbender (cartoon). But I am trying to come up with different outfits for each character that has their own unique thing, example a huge bow in the back or feathers hanging from the belt.
If you could give me some ideas, some pictures, anything that might help me. I mainly need clothing for guys though. And the clothing isn't very modern, like I said more like traditional Asian clothing, mainly like off od Avatar;TLA.
Thanks! And please no rude comments~
Sorry, I forgot to add that I like to draw the characters, so I need to know what they look like. I won't be boring people by describing their clothing. That's for sure!

Well, when I have to think about the clothes, I think about the personality of the character. So, whatever the personality of the characters are in your book, think of the type of clothes they would wear if they were a real person. So, I guess, always have in mind the personality of the character.BUT like the other person said, only describe the clothes when you have too, but other than that I guess it isn't really that big of a deal.

In real life people change clothes so um...you'd need to have hundreds of outfits. And usually in stories, people barely describe characters (maybe only the hair color, boy/girl, etc.) and don't get into detail (such as clothes) so they don't bore the **** out of the readers and so they can come up with their own character!

Don't bore the readers to death with clothing descriptions. People change clothes, and rarely have hundreds of similar outfits, so you can't just generalize what your characters will wear. Only describe clothing if it relevant - and it rarely is.
