What do you consider a good salary to be for a single person living in the United States?

    there are many variables here. cost of living varies greatly from place to place and that affects salaries and benefits.rural or urban makes a great deal of difference.lifestyle is also a major consideration.want to live in a nicer neighborhood...you cant go out to eat as often or must curtail your wardrobe.the bottom line is that YOU make the salary work as dictated by the lifestyle you choose.(im in nyc so you dont want to know what it takes to live here!)

    It's not how much you earn, but how much you spend.

    i feel that $60k is great; but another might not be satisfied with that.
