Am I the only one getting screwed by my auto insurer?

I received my renewal forms from Allstate today showing an increase in my policy by an additional $130.00 per month. I've been with Allstate for almost two years and have had no accidents or citations. Is this common?

Update:

$130 per month. My policy usually raises 30.00ish every renewal but this time they are showing $130 increase per month. I was paying 170.00 and it's now showing 300.00 per month.

130 A MONTH? That's just crazy. Call them first and find out why. And if they don't lower it - drop them.

I know insurance is getting more expensive, but that much of an increase with no chargeable accidents or tickets is unforgivable.

That's a HUGE increase. Did you get a new car? Add a driver? File bankruptcy? Cancel your homeowners or renters insurance with Allstate?

Something major happened to justify almost doubling your rate. You need to call your agent and ask.

$130 a month or per policy period?

Either way, I would drop them.

Believe it or not, I have found Safe Auto to be the cheapest for me. $62 a month. Before I found them, I went years without insurance because it was too expensive.
