I cannot believe the racist/hateful remarks posted online?
Earlier today I came across a Youtube video that featured an African American teenager who obviously had a mental illness. The racist comments that were posted about the videos were absolutely horrifying, I have never been so disgusted in my life. Ever since joining this forum and viewing the comments on Youtube and other forums alike I am slowly becoming more isolated and scared to trust certain individuals. I know it is only a website, however, is this not how people feel? I mean they would not make a post of something they did not think to be true, right? It makes me wonder, what do your "friends" really think of you? Do they say racist and disturbing things behind your back, about you?

well first off you have to remember everyone talking on websites are saying it from the protection behind a computer. those individuals usually would dare not to utter such slander in public. i feel people to say things to get a reaction out of people, so they tend to say the most taboo thing they can think of. i don't believe this is really what most people feel but Just because they can say such things will no consequence they will. if they said such things at a work place or somewhere in public they would be ramifications for their actions.

I feel you man... the hate on the internet is just unimaginable and disgusting. Where is the love? The ignorance in the world continues to grow, and the good continues to shrink. Just keep your head up, and spread your love as much and as far as possible. Then there will be nothing you'll regret, even if they say horrid things about other people/races/etc. It's not human nature to have an apathetic evil twisted persona, but our society requires that we have an outlet for stress, anger, other problematic issues. Just be strong, and KNOW that there are still good people in the world.

This is from Y! Member Conduct section embedded in their Terms of Service contract:
You agree to not use the Yahoo! Services to:
upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
....but Y! mods aren't reprimanding, banning or removing such post nor giving warnings to these users...hmm, makes you wonder. I really think Y! will eventually turn into a hate site.

Wow, people do cruel and hateful things when they can get away with it, who knew!? Wow, there is racism in the world, unbelievable. And most important, we all know that each and every website represents the views and beliefs of everyone else, right!?

There really is no restriction to what people can put on the internet. That, paired with the anonymity users have, people feel like they can post whatever they want. You want to know why? Cause they can.
Just don't take them seriously, it's mainly losers who have no better way to spend their time.

Because their true identities are hidden people get fearless to type things they would NEVER say. Also tearing someone down often becomes a game of who can Dis t[hem worse, so don't take it to heart.

I've become the same way. I use to admire all races and all walks of life because I felt like I was to limited being around blacks most of my life. But now? I can't look at somebody of another race the same way, especially white people. And now, I'm more prideful about being black. It's sickening that people can act as if they're a race full of saints but they can judge others so harshly. Even black people discuss me over the internet because they worship some of these people and forget they're black too.
I couldn't even watch a Michael Jackson video without seeing this:

this is how people act behind the animosity. you wouldn't call me anything if you saw the size of my biceps.
