How do I send a letter/small package to someone in Britain?

I live in California. The other day I found a ring among my things that belongs to someone I met at a convention. I promised to mail it to them but they live in England. I've never sent anything internationally before.

Package it up securely, take it to the post office, and discuss with them exactly what you need to write on the customs forms since you're returning someone else's belongings to them.

Is it a very valuable ring? If so, consider getting insurance. Again, the post office will be able to help you do this.

I sent stuff the other way and it was better to rely on the employees at the post office. They were able to provide me with the information in terms of how many stamps for any given package and all that stuff.

    Good luck!
