Is it true that if you get a belly piercing that you shouldn't have animals on your bed for awhile?

I've looked at a few websites and they say that u should keep all animals off your bed for the first 8 weeks cause of their hair and fleas and it can infect your navel piercing. Is this true?

I had a problem with sleeping with a dog in my bed and my cartilage piercing. It got really infected. I'm not 100% sure that was the cause but it happened after my brothers dog sleep in my bed with my and I usually don't have animals in my bed. So i would be careful about letting animals sleep with you while its healing.
