Aubrey Huff for Ike Davis?

I get Aubrey, I give Ike. My 1st basemen is Prince Fielder. Should I take the deal?

Update:

This is not a keeper league, it's a normal league.

In a non-keeper league, I would definitely make this deal. First of all, the difference with these players is their experience/age. Huff had a great year last year, and has a decent track record of posting solid numbers. While Davis also had a nice season in 2010, it was his rookie season, and there's always the possibility of a Sophomore slump. Especially considering that Davis is a bit of a free swinger. Secondly, Huff is going to offer 1st/OF eligibility, which will definitely come in handy.

If this was a larger keeper league, or you're able to keep Davis for a cheap price in future seasons, I might not make the deal. However, if this is in fact a keeper, you should provide your keeper rules in order to receive proper analysis.

If you've already got Prince, I'd say stand pat. Here's why:

If Huff repeats last year, which I doubt he will, nobody will notice. If he doesn't - you will be unhappy...

If Ike lives up to the hype, and I think he will, you'll look like a genius - and you will be happy...

    You're looking at a bench/Util player anyway...

Source(s): It's all about getting happy!
