what to do about rusted paint in microwaves,?

i have the same issue-so i googled....and found this: also found sites that say you can use appliance paint....

is it safe to remove rust and then repaint the inside of a microwave oven? are there any special rust removers and paints for doing this?

Microwave. Appliance paint is safe

Toss it and get new, microwaves are very cheap these days.

I think once the inside is damaged, it's not considered safe to use. Get a new one.
