22 research department released a report that India's growth since 2003 is a structural acceleration of growth, rather than simply circulating better. Growth in productivity growth led to nearly half of the whole, this trend will continue for several years.

"Global Studies", said: "We predicted that 8% of India's potential or sustainable growth rate will remain until 2020. This means that India's contribution to global growth than we had 'BRIC' report also forecast to be more. "

Saving Earth though is a hot topic of discussion, we find a handful of initiatives that are taken towards neutralizing the effect of devastation that humans have been doing since ages. Choosing a Eco friendly way of living is one such lifestyle that needs to be incorporated by at least those how really care about our Earth.

Our every day action has a bearing on earth. So it is equally important that we take initiative on a large scale to understand what could be done on a individual basis to better the Earth's condition. We should understand and modify our lifestyle to leave a low impact.

Incorporating a green lifestyle will not only improve the living condition of our neighbourhood but also bring in a sense of satisfaction to all those who took to the initiative of turning their lifestyles to green i.e. in simple – Going Green (The green way).

Every day there is one or the other infrastructure development project that is getting shape to be implemented in an economically growing city. As a result of these plans numerous trees are rooted down to make way for the so called development projects. But is it really contributing to the overall development is rather unexplored.

Development in the economic sense is adding value in terms of productivity to the country’s GDP. But the real sense of development is only when it actually contributes to the overall development not only to the human race but also to the entire environment. This type of development is a strategic objective which is not considered while planning for any of the development project. Though only 30 % of people are a part of urban India but they contribute to more than 70% of the carbon and its compounds. Therefore there is need to change the current lifestyle and accept the new lifestyle of going green.

Take this discussion forward to study what all could be done to save earth....:)

    Good morning all!

Earlier india is a country which belongs to agriculture but in 20th century onwards we have so many Business and industries.

And our population also become higher so we have utilized the natural resources like agricultural land ,water ,stone, mines, trees, for our needs.

Also we have converted our 40% agricultural lands to

    real estates.

Grama Suya Velai Vaippu Thittam, Indira Awas Yojana are the plans that made peoples lazy.

No manpower available for agri and most of the farmers are leaving from agri and seeking for different Business.

Agri is the key to keep our environment green.

below is the world banks statement

The Urban Water Supply Sector’s problems can be summarised by poor institutional

structure, weak organisations and poor governance. Assessment of UWSS in India,

however, is made difficult by the very weak information base.

    The World Bank, 1998: 4.

Atleast next government shoult take a corrective action, other vise no one can save the environment.

they could try to lead the world in Hydrogen energy driven engines,,,, that would change the world and the environment.... Indias big they could invest into cleaning the coast through coastal purifacation systems,, also they could spread out wind energy so that each city is self reliant and off the grid of industrial scences,,,

I think india should think about making a big change they are going to be so populated soon that china might be worried,,,,

They could work on some kind of positive propaganda to have no more than two children,, and they could, increase their awareness of the a greener future for mankind otherwise there will be problems in their future,,

India is a leader in science and medical fields they have the brainpower to change their environment more so than a dirty unrepairable nation like usa where everyone has mixed ideas about everything and nobody pays attention to the real picture,,,

Spread out the population into urban areas so that the population isnt using all the resources of one place,,,,,..

Every country in the world should focus more on self reliance especially when the world is at war,,

    India needs a plan B

Something that would protect them from a catastrophe

I had an idea for huge city sized air purifiers that pulled solid industrial metals and toxins out of the air and clean the air for the populated areas, attributing to a small tax,

First there is semantic confusion when people or experts use the words 'growth' and 'development'.

    Is growth equivalent to development?

    Obviously not.

What has been happening in the world under the guise of economic growth is exploitation of natural resources (including habitats of other species) without due consideration of sustainability.

Our Earth recycles almost everything at different rates on a sophisticated inter-locked basis of interactions wherein natural sustainability is carried on without hitch.

But since Industrial Revolution, we have been drawing out resources off the Earth at a rate far higher than the natural rate of replenishment.

So natural resources as regenerative capital are fast depleting without due time for regeneration.

Dvelopment, Growth etc and Environment are mutally exclusive. We can't have both together. For Human beings and other beings to survive this so called Growth has to stop otherwise this Planet will finish in a very short time

Seek out and utilize all available sources of alternative energy. Use natural fertilizers. Utilize the man power available for public improvements vis-a vis CCC and WPA. Population control, (I know this is a touchy subject but it needs to be addressed)

every one speaks about environment but activity is nil .we are planting trees but not looking for its growth eradication of plastic dumping has not become a government rule.these simple things will not harm development. every one of us can feel we are really part of nature.
