Truth is im not scared. There are many importing laws witch include hazardous and "dangerous" material checks on all imported products especially food. Anything that comes oversea is checked anyways and im sure nothing would be shipped that has a lethal or even close to dangerous level of radiation.
Fact: Theres radiation all around us. Bananas have radiation in them but im sure you still eat them. The ground under your feet has radiation in it.... you still walk around
Radiation is everywhere... with their nuclear reactors mostly contained and the background radiation to a minimum there is nothing to worry about

There has been elevated levels of iodine-131 found in some vegetables and milk from two prefectures. This food isn't being sold. In addition, the iodine has a half life of eight hours and decays to harmless substances in a few weeks. So no, I'm not particularly worried.

Note that the "nuclear crisis" has more to do with media hype to get ratings than it does with actual problems.

Look, health wise, digesting it or it being in your presence would not affect you immediately. The radiation mutates and alters processes and cells in your body. Likewise, you would not realize it until you are diagosed with, say, cancer, or other symptoms such as long term colds persist and others.
Overall, I personally am not scared, but that is becasue I live in India, and there is not a lot of import of Japanese products in general, so yeah. Obviously though, if I was living in a country which recieved Japanese exports on a large scale, I would be a little aprehensive.

No, the contamination comes from cities not from production, might as well support it, make the difference, eat it, japan has worked really hard over these years to make a good notice, they need it now more than ever.

A) Japan is a big place. Radiation is a worry in one specific part, not ALL Japanese products.
B) The Japanese government is monitoring radiation levels of their export products.
C) The Japanese government has banned trade of produce in stricken areas.
D) Your government in monitoring radiation levels of your country's import products.
CONCLUSION: Several safe-guards are in place to ensure imports are safe. Relax.

I wouldn't eat ANYthing from ANY country unless I knew pretty much about their growing and fertilizing techniques, harvesting, storage, and shipping techniques. Not to mention export techniques. Also, what they feed livestock with.
I would be VERY careful to not eat radiated food. I wouldn't buy anything from there right now. Not even a TV. If the TV hasn't got radiation, the packaging material and box probably are loaded/
