This is a web-site and below is the link that will direct you to a page where you can choose the 'Area' of where you live and 'Help Needed' options, etc.. Then simply click to 'Search' and look through all the different Charities that offer you Grants for various things. Be prepared though if you DO find a few Charities to apply to, you will need to go to someone like Citizens Advice Bureau or Social Services to make the application FOR you as often these Charities for some stupid reason will not accept an application form you, yourself.

I REALLY would advise that you DON'T go to work at all when you will be getting almost £900.00 coming in for a considerable length of time. What is the point? People slog their guts out in 8 hours shifts every day to get LESS than that AND they have to pay FULL rent. I mean you don't mention if you live with Parents/Family/Friends or on your own but if you wanted to get your own place then you would get FULL Housing and Council Tax Benefit.
You will be tired ENOUGH as it is being a first time and new Mum. So WHY make yourself even MORE tired by getting a job. Maybe you didn't realise that your Income Support would go up by about £15.00 *Per Week* when you give birth AND the extra Premium Rates for the Lone Parent and Dependant Child (Element).
And so many people will give my answer a low rating with the 'Thumbs Down' but I couldn't give a rats behind because this is about YOU. Not THEM. People are generally bitter and twisted at the fact that some people get nearly a Grand on Benefit's when they have to go out and work for less than that. Fact is Disabled/Mental Health/Lone Parents DESERVE to be on Benefits.
It doesn't matter if you have paid Taxes or not because it is designed as a 'Safety Net' for those in hard times. How can a 19 year old (like yourself) possibly have contributed many years of Taxes and paid your due in order to receive Benefits. Answer is simple. They cannot. So why do idiotic people complain about it?
Also is the fact that they seem to have less sympathy for the Disabled and Mentally ill than Single Mother's. Really.. It is basically about Common sense. How can a Single Mother or Lone Parent possibly work a full time job. For a start a new Mum needs to BE with that Baby to bond, feed it, change it, etc.. If this is done by a Baby Sitter or Child Care Provider then Baby will get used to someone else OTHER than it's Mum. Secondly. You only qualify for a CERTAIN amount of hours per week via a Local Authority (Council) certified Child Care Providers. A new Mum cannot work for 35 hours a week. Do people expect Baby to look after it's self? I mean REALLY! Other minders are not ALWAYS available.
No hun. Stay on Benefit's. Being a Mum is a Full Time Job ANYWAY!
I hope this helps. Take care,
Lin. xXx
Source(s): Come on people! Really! THINK about the Answer's you are giving to the Asker. Don't just fob them off with "Go to the Job Centre/C.A.B" because you are too damn lazy to do a bit of Googling. I am on Benefit's. Disabled and whole array of Mental Illnesses. On many Benefit's. Certainly NOT a 'Scrounger'. I paid my Taxes like any other Joe Bloggs before I could no longer work. Thank you very much! :)
