Need sources of mp3 recorder/player and cd recorder
must be able to stand alone need good sound quality but price is definitely a factor

Sangean offers the DAR-101 MP3 recorder, which stores recordings on SDHC cards.
It has an SPDIF output that could be connected to a standalone CD recorder
for digital transfers, and it also has analog line outputs that can be connected
to a line-level input on any ordinary audio equipment.
A good company to buy this from is Universal Radio.
Standalone CD recorders have become slightly difficult to find,
but there are some on the market. Full Compass and other
catalog-based pro/semi-pro equipment dealers offer them.
