Dragunity Legionnaire's effect?
Dragunity Legionnaire card states 'You can send 1 "Dragunity" card from your Spell & Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard to select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls, and destroy it.'. suppose i have Aklys equipped to Legionnaire, but my opponent doesn't have a face-up monster. Can i use Legionnaire's effect to send Aklys to the graveyard for knowing Legionnaire's effect would fizzle? Or does my opponent's monster have to be face-up?

Your opponent must have a face-up monster. You cannot activate an effect if you cannot fulfill the effect.

You cannot activate an effect that is impossible to resolve.
Example: You cannot activate Terraforming if you don't have any field cards in your deck.
