RIT is a wave of SOUL which attaches SOUL to the MIND through INTELLECT.
A RISHI is one who trancends the level of RIT towards SELF REALISATION.
A MUNI means one whi explores one's MIND.
To become RISHI one needs to be MUNI first.
HUNTING doesn't bring to one who is always PROMPT TO SACRIFICE ONE's HEAD for the sake of one's people, country and humanity. In case of SALMAN KHAN TYPE HUNTING ,it is really a disgusting sin.

Rishi is the one who has accomplished in Yoga/Tapas. A great Tapaswi.
A sage or sadhu, especially one vowed to complete silence or who speaks but rarely and who seeks stillness of mind is called Muni. A hermit. The term is related to mauna, "silence." One who speaks a little and does is called Muni. A muni is always on God thinking and in nama smarana.

There is difference, 'Rishis'are holy people live in society and guide the destiny of people to religious path, they discard worldly desire but live in society, while 'munis' live in woods discard all worldly thing including society
In Dashrathe period i.e. 'Treta' yug people use to eat non-veg, the 'Asvamegh - yagya' was preform to spread the kingdom and when the 'Horse's back it was sacrificed and its meat was eaten by all including Raj parivar and brahamins as 'Maha-Parshad' Taboo to non-veg came much latter. Natural the hunt was eaten
