In looking at Wikopedia's section on instrument classification, I think the best answer would be vibrated and pitched. It seems all of the instruments can be classified according to how they vibrate the air, since physically this is a necessity to generate sound waves. Then within a family of instruments, they can be further be classified according to pitch or size (the bigger the instrument, the lower the pitch). For example, the recorder vibrates the air by your blown air hitting a sharp edge (not unlike a whistle). In addition, the recorder comes in all sizes or pitches, such as sopranino (smallest), soprano, alto, tenor, bass, and great bass (usually considered the lowest). So it could be classified two ways. Normally though, and in practical terms, we like to classify them as brass, woodwind, string, and percussion, as well as keyboard. I've played instruments from all those classifications and they all have very different personalities. But properly and formerly speaking, I think you could make a strong argument for "vibrated" and "pitched" as being the correct answers.

The horn is a conical bore software similar to the cornet and Saxhorns. This manner the bore is tapered, regularly growing in diameter alongside its duration, in contrast to the trumpet and trombone which can be viewed cylindrical. Unlike such a lot different valved brass devices, which use piston valves, the horn makes use of rotary valves, regardless that previous horns used pistons. Each valve toggles a duration of tubing, exchanging the duration of the software and for that reason the pitch. Each duration of tubing is a separate side, and is moved to regulate the tuning of the software, making them tuning slides. A present day double horn includes a whole of 21 feet (6.four meters) of tubing, adding all tuning slides Basically...its the mellow sound the F.Horn Has.

Held or positioned.
Made or forged.
Played or struck.
... we're not very helpful with homework. Especially when the two blank answer has at least half a dozen possibilities. (and not the ones I listed above.)
