Quitting my part-time job.?

I want to quit my part time job, but I'm scheduled to work tomorrow... I have worked there for over 2 years (dishwasher). I worked all day today and just got home, and a co-worker asked me if I could come in again tomorrow for him, and I said yes. This particular co-worker is the only person I give a single crap about in the whole place. Am I allowed to email my work right now and tell them I quit then not go in to work tomorrow? Will I still get paid properly, and what will happen to the other day I'm scheduled to work this month? (i have to go in like 5 more times this month).

If you are going to quit you should give your two weeks notice so they can get a replacement. Since you've worked there for 2 years, you might need them for a reference for your next job.

No, they can not avoid paying you for work you already did. That would be illegal and you could file a lawsuit against them if they refuse to pay you.

You have to call them, or face-to-face talking. You can't just email or tell your friend to do that. Depend on which company, or which policy, they'll decide to pay you or not.

    goodluck myfriend!
