Anyone know the name or author of this great dog poem?

Can anyone tell me the author of a poem....I read it a few years ago, its by a famous poet....It talks about dogs having some of the best qualities of man without the negatives....loyalty without jealousy, courage without pride, etc. Anyone know the name of this poem?

    "Epitaph to a Dog" by Lord Byron.

    John Hobhouse wrote it for Lord Byron's beloved dog. 1808

    I know it is Epitaph to a Dog, but I don't know the author.
