how do I keep Asus notebook from going to sleep when I close the lid?
I am trying to view it on my PC monitor and it shuts down when I close it.

Well, you go into the Windows control panel, and you enter the Power Options. From there, depending on the operating system, you will either be able to directly choose what happens when you close the lid, or you will have a link on the left, that brings you to where you can change what happens when the lid closes.

There are settings in the control panel under power options.
