Can water vapour be compressed?

I know it's water in the gaseous state.

Water can't be compressed. But gases can.

So... can water vapour be compressed then?

    The use of a tank in which a vacuum is created and in the interior there is a worm gear, is responsible for compressing the water vapour. It is mainly used to make seawater drinkable
