I think I am losing it?

I am a 20 year old man and I am very self conscious about my appearance I have bad skin all of the pores on my nose and surrounding it are enlarged and red and i have crater like scars from spots/ blackheads and there are like little wrinkles connecting the pores I also have a very crusty dry scalp and I think I am going bald and my teeth are yellow and I have brown patches from smoking. Women don't even seem interested in me any more. I get extremely angry and then that turns to being upset. I live with my parents and my dad does not seem to understand what I am going through, and he gets angry with me which is the last thing i need, my mom tries to comfort me but it doesn't really help and I don't think it is fair for her to see me this way, I am considering moving out so I do not upset them but she would worry about me. I feel I cannot be the person I should be my confidence is next to none and feel ashamed of myself. I used to be happy but now 80 percent of the time I am not. I am unemployed and think that this is the main factor stopping me getting a job, I honestly don't know what to do and i just feel like giving up i really don't know what to do. can anyone help?

Awww! I'm sorry for what you're going through. Can you go see a dermatologist to help you heal your face? Vitamin E is really good for scars. And, as far as your teeth...maybe you could go to the dentist and get them bleached. There are also treatments for people who are going bald. (although some women think bald guys are sexy) None of these things have to be permanent. Try to work on one thing at a time so you don't feel so overwhelmed. You seem like a really sweet guy. I would hope that would mean more to people than acne scars and stained teeth that can all be fixed. I don't tell you to do all of this to impress other people, but if it'll boost your self esteem then why not? Oh, and as far as the crusty dry scalp there are special shampoos that help with that. If it's really severe then i'd suggest that you schedule an appointment with your doctor who can prescribe something that is much stronger. All of these things can be remedied. I think we all have things about ourselves that we don't like and obsess over. I hope this helps a little. I'm here if you want to talk. People should love and like you for the nice person you are. Common sense should tell people that it could happen to anyone at any time. They need to be more understanding, and help rather than criticize or reject you. Take care & best wishes for a better, more happy you. :)

Sounds like you are possibly going through the worst phase of your life, so there is much to look forward to. This is a terrible time for young people trying to find jobs and get on in life. No wonder you feel so down, and this is what is most probably affecting your appearance. Try to eat healthy and get some exercise, fresh air and sunshine every day. Just doing that alone should make you feel a lot better and while you are out try to make some new friendships. Make a point of getting out of the house every day, even if that is just to take your dog (or the neighbours) for a walk. Work on your appearance and cut down (even give up) on that smoking. Your skin and colour will improve if you can give up smoking. Ask your doctor for suggestions in this area. You could then visit the dentist for a clean with the money you saved from smoking. Hope things improve for you soon; don't forget that you are not alone looking for work. It is tough for many.

you could try cover up creams for your face or even a light fake tan, the is remedies to reverse or at least slow down baldness but you Must discuss that with your doctor and you can get your teeth whitened at your dentist but it will cost money . i felt the same with my acne when i was a teen but i found antibiotics really helped. the dry scalp could be psoriasis , you may need medical shampoos and treatments to get that cleared . as for jobs , may people including celebrities get the door slammed in their faces countless times but the ones who succeed are the ones who never give up , out of 25 employers 24 will not want you but that one will and one is all you need, same goes for girls , 24 out of 25 girls you meet may say no but that one who says yes could change your life forever

start working on some of the things you aren't happy about. You don't have to do all of them at once.

Look for a part-time job. Or quit smoking, Or work on your appearance. Just do something... doing nothing will get you nothing.

First of all you need to stop smoking (obviously). I know it is difficult to break that addiction but it is contributing to your overall physical and mental health. Secondly, you need to channel most of your energy into a job search. Finding gainful employment will restore a lot of your self esteem. Try to work on your physical health and your mental issues will slowly resolve themselves after you stop focusing on them.
