Can I Faux Tuscan Paint Over Faux Tuscan Pain?

I just finished a painting our bathroom walls with a faux tuscan paint and technique for the first time but I am not liking the color we choose. I wanted a gold/brown color but it turns out the color is more olive green with a little gold.

Can I redo the faux technique by painting over the olive paint? If so, should I use a golden brown color? Or, should I use a gold with a little orange to counteract the green? Thanks for any help!

If you're going to paint over it, you should first apply a white primer. If you don't, you'll get a bleed through that will discolor the new finish.
