Big Bang, Big Bang, Big Bang?
If the Big Bang, was a Big Bang, would you have been able to hear it, as sound travels through sound waves and there would have been nothing there before the Big Bang?

Nothing to hear. Big bang is just a name, there was nothing like a classical explosion. And even if, no sound would have benn able to be heard as there wasn't a medium for it yet.

"Big Bang" is a coined phrase originally used in mockery of the theory. In many respects it is completely incorrect. The Big Bang was actually a sudden expansion of space from some point that we lack the instruments to detect, as it is shielded from us by the particle horizon in which matter was first allowed to form out of energy. Prior to that the universe was opaque, so there are only hypothesis to explain what existed before then.

The 'big bang' was really a 'big unfolding'. And disappointing, was essentially silent (a bit like the sound of one hand clapping).
It is thought that the 'big unfolding' arose because of the collision of 2 weird multidimensional membranes.

If you were somehow outside of the universe and watching as the HSK occurred, you wouldn't hear anything, as there would be no matter to carry the sound waves. Sound waves don't carry in the vacuum of space.

apparently a group of scientist said they picked up what they think is the echo of the big bang.
