You can't get rid of whatever upper respiratory virus is causing your symptoms -- it will no doubt resolve by itself in time -- but you can manage the symptoms themselves. Most OTC products that target your specific symptoms are effective. If your symptoms are the result of allergies, you'll have to target the allergy with an antihistamine.

if its a sore throat take a lozenge or take nyquil. Nyquil works really fast but makes you feel tired and drowzy.
