Warped tour alone...?
Okay, I want to go to the warped tour this year... but all my friends like rap and whatnot, so I don't have anyone to go with. Honestly I don't have a problem with going alone, but my mom said I am not allowed to go unless my dad comes with me. I don't live with my dad, but my mom asked him to come along with me and he said he would go. The problem I don't think my dad will enjoy the concert much, and I don't think he'd want to stay in the reverse daycare alone... Also, I wouldn't want to drag him around with me all day if I'm trying to get to the front of stages to see bands I like, but i also don't want to split up and let him do his own thing. When I'm there I would wanna get right up in it in the most pits and whatnot. If I went alone I would not feel uncomfortable one bit, and would have a hell of a fun time. My mom doesn't really care much about the bands, and knows the types of things that go on at events like this, but she is just worried that if something happened to me nobody would even know. I dunno if I really have question... I guess I'm just looking for input from people who have been there before (but your opinion is still appreciated if you have never been).
Thanks for that answer, I forgot to mention I am 17 years old. - I'll ask her about the text her every so often idea, although that may be an issue because I am in Canada, and I wanted to go the date in Detroit (I live right near the ambassador bridge, so it's very close still).
Also, the bands I plan on seeing so far are: simple plan, less than jake, a day to remember, every avenue, relient k, d.r.u.g.s., and unwritten law.

It really depends on the bands that are there. Usually there's some... animosity with differing opinions on bands, but it's a really great experience. It's on a grander scale then a lot of more intimate shows. I don't know...how old you are or anything, but you could try and compromise with your mom, like texting/calling her every once in awhile to let her know you're safe. One of the headlining bands this year is Black Veil Brides, and they try and look out for their fans, if you are planning on watching them. It might be weird having your dad there, but usually when you get in there you end up having a blast anyways and (temporarily) forgetting about everyone else. If he has to come. You might wanna try and work something out with your mom though :) you've been to concerts before, right? There should be some security. I remember talking to someone about it before, she had the same problem with her parents but it ended up being fine.
