2010 Cleveland Cavaliers or 2011 Miami Heat?

I was watching NBA T.V. yesterday when they were discussing a question posed by a fan asking, "Should LeBron be voted MVP this year because of how bad the Cavs are doing?"

Then one of the T.V. analyst (not sure if it was Brent Barry, Kevin McHale, or Dennis Scott) said that LeBron should get consideration for that and then Dennis Scott said, "but the 2011 Miami Heat would not finish this season with a better record than the 2010 Cavs". This comment begs the following questions:

1) How could a team with combination of superstars (Wade, James, and Bosh) not have as much success as a team built around LeBron last year?

2) Was last year's Cavs team a fluke or is this year's Miami team overrated?

BQ: How much consideration should LeBron get for MVP with the way the Cavs have been falling off the face of the earth this year?

Thoughts?

The 2011 Heat are obviously a more talented team than the 2010 Cavs. They actually have so much talent that it's a problem (but a good problem to have). With the 2010 Cavs, there was no doubt who the leader of the team was, or who would take the last shot. Everything revolved around Lebron, and they were able to play well together that way. With the 2011 Heat, there is confusion of how to play together because you have 3 players who were all the main guy of their former teams now trying to play together. So it's just a matter of them figuring out how to play together. And last year's Cavs team was not a fluke because the team the year before that also won 60 games. Also the fact that the Cavs are bad without Lebron doesn't mean he should win the MVP this year, it means he should have won the MVP last year. Which he did.

Obviously The Heat Im talking playoff chances not records the Cavs with only lebron James never had a chance to win unless paired with another great player and If you disagree then look at the cavs past 5 years and take a look at who knocked them out every year.

I'd take the Cav's last year. LeBron just couldn't handle the playoffs very well. If he had stayed, he probably would have won a ring in the next 3 years.

Sacramento Kings! ... I desire... i think of that the unfastened enterprise shall circulate as such: LeBron James: Chicago Bulls Dwyane Wade: Miami warmth Chris Bosh: great apple Joe Johnson: New Jersey Nets/Brookyln Nets Carlos Boozer: Miami warmth Amar'e Stoudemire: Phoenix Suns Ray Allen: Boston Celtics Dirk Nowitzki: New Jersey Nets/Brooklyn Nets David Lee: ????

  • Lebron shouldn't get MVP because of the Cavs. Why? Because he's not the only change that happened...
